Pferd-Hund-Katze-Propolis

The unique bee product propolis is used by bees to seal in their hive from the outside so that no foreign matter or pests can get in. It also protects your hive from bacteria and viruses and disinfects the bees returning home after a long day's work. If an unwanted guest, such as a mouse, does enter the hive, it is killed with bee venom but not removed from the hive. The dead mouse is then covered with propolis (mummified and rendered harmless) and cemented so that it cannot become a decomposing carcass.

Propolis is an essential substance for the survival of the bee colony. But how can propolis be used and applied to other animals? We work closely with veterinary practitioners and receive continuous feedback on the respective treatments with propolis in animals.

For this purpose, our bedrop 10% propolis tincture should be applied to the affected area and allowed to work in well. The following also applies here: Please only apply the 10% propolis tincture alcohol-free or the bedrop alcohol-free spray to the area, as alcohol both causes a burning sensation and is not good if the animal (dog, cat, etc.) should lick the area in question.

The antiviral effect of propolis can also be used in animals to treat other fungi, infections and bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus. Staphylococcus aureus occurs mainly in dogs and is considered the most common bacterial infection and cause rashes in the skin. The linked study shows how this skin disease can be treated with the properties of propolis so that it can have a positive effect.

Treatment with propolis for the skin is very diverse in animals and is increasingly in focus. It can be used for various skin complaints. Whether injuries, burns, chemical burns or wounds, according to a study, propolis can help with healing and also act as a "plaster" to protect the affected areas from infections, bacteria or viruses and even combat them.

Propolis for herpes and gingivitis

Many of our beloved four-legged friends suffer from complaints in and around the mouth, be it herpes or gingivitis. The former was treated intensively in a study, in which the propolis ointment with 5% acyclovir was tested and analyzed in more detail. The respective creams/ointments were applied to the lips five times a day and it was found that the control group with propolis showed a massive effect after just 3 days, whereas the 5% acyclovir showed a massive effect after 4 days. This proves the effect of propolis on herpes symptoms and so our propolis tincture 10% alcohol-free can be used with a clear conscience to help with herpes in animals.
