What is psoriasis?

Psoriasis is a non-contagious, hereditary, chronic inflammatory skin disease that can be triggered by external and internal factors. In addition to the visible skin disease, a major problem is the psychosomatic burden on those affected, which is caused by possible restrictions to their quality of life. Shiny, white-silvery scales form on the inflamed, reddened areas of skin. The affected areas of the body are the arms, legs, scalp, back, chest, armpits, eyebrows and even the genitals. Psoriasis vulgaris is the most common and best-known form of psoriasis.

In most cases, conventional medicine resorts to cortisone ointments. Unfortunately, prolonged use of this form of therapy can lead to undesirable side effects, such as thinning of the skin, protrusion of small blood vessels or hyperpigmentation.

Psoriasis is an inflammatory, non-contagious disease. It mainly manifests itself through reddish, scaly skin changes or on the hair, which can itch.

PROPOLIS

Propolis tinctures can be used in different ways:

Propolis tincture 20%
Propolis tincture 20% is ideal for mixing with a natural skin cream. You can easily make your own propolis cream at home(you can find the recipe for your DIY propolis cream here). You can apply this cream to the affected area several times a day and allow it to absorb well. The valuable ingredients of the natural cosmetic cream and propolis reach the affected area and intensively moisturize the skin to make dry, cracked areas more supple and promote the well-being of itchy skin.

Alcohol-free propolis spray:
Our alcohol-free propolis (mouth) spray is suitable for direct application to the affected areas of skin. The propolis spray forms a light, sticky protective layer on the skin that acts like a natural plaster. It is quickly absorbed by the skin and leaves it feeling pleasant. The alcohol-free propolis spray can be applied several times a day as required. In the case of psoriasis, we recommend the direct application of alcohol-free propolis, as this would be counterproductive and alcohol-containing propolis would dry out the dry areas of skin even more!
