Use of bee venom for lipedema

Lipoedema in medicine
Lipoedema is a chronic disease of the fatty tissue that occurs mainly in women. It is characterized by an uneven distribution of fatty tissue, particularly on the lower extremities such as the thighs, hips and lower legs. Women with lipoedema can suffer from swelling, tenderness, pain and bruising. However, this condition is often misunderstood and confused with obesity, although they are two different conditions.
The exact causes of lipoedema are not yet fully understood, but it is thought that several factors may play a role. Genetic predisposition appears to play an important role, as lipoedema often runs in families. Hormonal influences are also being discussed, as the condition occurs almost exclusively in women and is often associated with hormonal changes such as puberty, pregnancy or menopause, which are referred to as "hormonal flares". It is assumed that certain hormones can influence the growth and proliferation of fat cells in lipoedema.
Stages of lipoedema
Lipoedema is divided into different stages to describe the severity and progression of the disease. There are different classification systems, but in general the following stages of lipoedema are distinguished:
-
Stage 1: In this early stage, symptoms are usually mild. There may be an uneven distribution of fatty tissue in the affected areas, such as the thighs or hips. The skin is smooth and there may be slight swelling.
-
Stage 2: In stage 2, the symptoms of lipoedema increase. The swelling becomes more pronounced and there is an increase in the formation of fatty tissue nodules (known as lipoedema or lipolymphoedema). The skin can appear uneven and hardened, which can lead to an "orange peel" appearance.
-
Stage 3: In this advanced stage, the symptoms of lipoedema are clearly pronounced. There is severe swelling and a significant change in body shape. The skin is severely altered, loses elasticity and skin folds and furrows may appear.

Bee venom for lipoedema
In recent years, bee venom has become increasingly important as an alternative treatment option for lipoedema. In this blog article, I will explain more about the natural support of bee venom for lipoedema.
-
Bee venom contains various components, including the peptide melittin, which is known for its unique properties. Inflammation plays a major role in the development and exacerbation of lipoedema. The application of bee venom can reduce the reaction in the tissue.
-
Impaired lymphatic drainage is a key feature of lipoedema. Bee venom can support the lymphatic flow by facilitating the contraction of the lymphatic vessels thanks to the venom and the removal of fluids and toxins. This can help to improve blood circulation.
-
Bee venom contains bioactive substances that can increase blood circulation in the tissue. Improved circulation can help nutrients and oxygen to be transported more efficiently and promote cell regeneration. This can contribute to tissue health and support the regeneration of damaged tissue.
The effect of bee venom on lipoedema shows promising results. Due to its properties, bee venom can be an alternative but also complementary treatment option for the symptoms of lipoedema.
Use of bee venom for lipoedema
The use of bee venom for lipoedema, also known as apitherapy, is used by some therapists as an alternative treatment option. The treatment involves applying small amounts of bee venom to the affected areas or administering it in the form of injections.
At bedrop we offer a cream/ointment with high doses of bee venom. The Bee Cream contains the maximum limit of bee venom for cosmetics.
It is very easy to use: apply the Bee Cream to the affected areas as required or as a preventative measure (e.g. before a long day) and massage well into the skin. It is important to massage and stimulate the affected areas to stimulate blood circulation and to work the Bee Cream into the skin. Bee Cream also contains eight different herbal extracts that give the skin a pleasant, cooling sensation. The heavy feeling in the arms and legs can thus be supported.
