The glandular secretion is formed in the glands of the bees. The bees use this glandular secretion to produce their bee products. They knead the exuded wax platelets with their mandibles and mix them with their glandular secretions to produce beeswax. This secretion of the bees is rich in protein compounds and is needed for the production of beeswax, honey or royal jelly.
