Honeydew
Honeydew refers to the excretions of certain plant-sucking insects (aphids, bark lice, cicadas). These absorb an excess of sugars from the plant sap. The surplus is excreted and collects as tiny droplets, like sweet dew, on the needles or leaves of the trees. Some also call the coating leaf honey. When bees collect this honeydew, it becomes forest honey (honeydew honey).
